Natus Vincere has secured their first victory today against fnatic, beating them by an impressive 24-6. In addition, Na´Vi will be crowned winners of the tournament, as no other team can catch up with their point score.
Natus Vincere started out by winning the pistol-round, directed by Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev who single-handedly took out fnatic. As Natus Vincere secured the initial rounds, they had fnatic in their tight grip until the sixth round, stating a 6-0 lead. Moving ahead, fnatic was able to capture two rounds, while Natus Vincere claimed four.
The Ukrainians in Na´Vi had by now caused major economical problems for fnatic, and were able to control the team as they wanted. fnatic had to see themselves be defeated and stepped all over in the first half, as Natus Vincere sealed the scoreline at 13-2.
fnatic now knew that Natus Vincere only needed three rounds to secure the victory, and losing the first initial rounds could turn out to be crucial. Unfortunately for fnatic, this was exactly what happened.
fnatic bought deagles, to prevent a possible round loss, but this would not hold back Natus Vincere who sealed the round. Finally, Na´Vi topped it all by securing the last round, setting the score at 16-2, while the overall score was set to 24-6.
This also means that Natus Vincere has won the Arbalet Cup Best of Four, as no other team can achieve as many points as they have. Stay tuned for the final post after the match series have ended.
